Florida judge commands private treasure hunting company to return $500M treasure recovered from wreck to Spain. The sunken ship was lost in combat with the English in 1803. So now, I guess with this Florida judges precedence....there will be no more public announcements of treasure hunting proceeds......as well as you can forget any effort that is made for archaeological value..... We have just proven that no good deed goes unpunished.

No one in their right mind would ever talk publically about a find now......just melt down the 500+ year old artifacts and sell them as ingots.

Exactly...... perhaps it was a typo in your comments or perhaps it was your intent to say "TREASURY" hunts........ I can see our governement going after every penny anyone finds as well....not just Spain's.
