This pretty much says it all. Before the planet spends $30 Trillion switching to inefficient energy sources......don't you think these folks need to be a bit more dilligent ?

These confessions of course will be burried and the Climate Religion will continue in the meantime..... costing jobs and raising the cost of energy. I love the Spanish "green" jobs program results......1 green job for every 9 energy jobs lost...... how long do we have to put up with this.....

Who?

This little tempest-in-a-teapot aside, the globe is still warming. CO2 emissions are still accumulating in the atmosphere, and we know it causes the atmosphere to absorb Solar infrared radiation.

But your guy says that there has been no global warming in the last 15 years.

Are you saying he does not know what he is talking about or that he is lying.

Either way it looks like MMGW fanatics need a new religion to practice.

I'M my guy, thank you very much - I taught the researchers everything they know.

There HAS been global warming, for the past 15 years and also for the past 150 or so years. Take a look at the planet Venus, and what the end-result of runaway CO2-induced global warming can do.

So the chief climate scientest studying global warming knows nothing. Why then don't you have the job if you know so much?

      Politics, wouldn't you know it?

But it has been warming, it's been measured. Underneath all of the natural cycles, El Nino, volcanoes, etc... there has been an abnormal warming trend which is global and signficant. It's amazing what one can tell from spectroscopy.

SOoooooo the people of venus drove Hummers and had the benefits of low cost plentiful cheap energy ?????

Take a look at the planet Venus, and what the end-result of runaway CO2-induced global warming can do

Venus has a CO2 atmospheric concentration of 99%. By comparison, Mars has a CO2 atmospheric CO2 concentration of 95% and it does not suffer from runaway global warming.

No, CO2 absorbs some infrared, but it still only makes up less than 0.04% of the atomsphere, it does not cause the atmosphere, which is primarily nitrogen and oxygen, to absorb any radiation. Water vapor is our major greenhouse gas, but no one is calling it a pollutant, even though it is the other major byproduct of hydrocarbon combustion.

          Thanks, jhawk - good seed.

Oxygen and Nitrogen gas do not absorb infrared radiation, CO2 does - it is the greenhouse effect from that gas (and others) which causes the Earth to be as insulated from the vacuum of space as it is.

H2O is not a gas at atmospheric temperatures, CO2 is! Do you have any other true but meaningless facts?

More Happy you should try to live without exhaling and perhaps you will discover that C02 is absolutely necessary to life on this planet.

So is water, but too much of it and you have a flood - the dose determines the poison.

CO2 is good for the environment. It makes plants grow quicker, healthier and with higher yields. Plants and trees use CO2 and emit O2.

As stated by Northerngirl, water vapour is the major green house gas and not CO2 but in reality non of this matters. There is no global warming. CO2 is not causing any global warming. In fact what is true is that rises in the earths temperature causes increased CO2 and not the other way around as they climate police would have us believe.

If you want to know what really effects global temperature, then maybe, just maybe, it's that bloody great big burning fireball in the sky and the increase or lack of solar activity on it.

More than happy, you do not know what you are talking about. Global warming is being proven to be a deliberate scam and either you've been duped or you are part of the duping.

The same government agencies that have perpetrated the global warming lie were using the same threats and language in the 1970's warning us of global cooling and an impending ice age.

Don't believe me? Check it out

That's not what the EPA, the NOAA, NASA, the USGS, the CIA, the Pentagon, Harvard, MIT, Oxford, Cambridge, Woods Hole, and every concerned research institution in the world says.

The only people who say it's a scam are the morons at sites like Wattsupwiththat.com, you may have heard of it.

Joseph Gobbles coined the term called the big lie. Say it again and again until it becomes true in the minds of the little people

James Madison said that the abuses of liberty can be just as damaging to liberty as the abuses of power.

Maybe y'all shouldn't act like simple pollution controls are the end of freedom and capitalism... because these things will instead STRENGTHEN freedom and the markets.

I read Roger Harrabin's interview with Phil Jones at: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/8511670.stm.

Once you wade through Jones' massive ego what he's really saying is "The science of modern climatology is still in it's infancy, so we really don't know what the hell we're doing, but we'd rather die than be wrong."

You may go ahead and believe whatever you want to believe.....I really think that is everyone's right....... its when you start telling me to pay more for electicity, telling me what to drive, telling me to change my views because of you unsubstantiated belief is where they problems come in......

This whole thing should be a dead issue....... so many doubts have come out that there has to be MASSIVE politics behind it to keep it going....... I guess it is better for the US and Asia if Europe continues raising costs of its products and not using efficient fuels....... that just leaves more for us.......
